SECURED Webinar Terms of Service
Last updated: November 6th, 2025
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern participation in online webinars (“Webinars”) organised under the SECURED project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101095717). The SECURED project aims to advance secure, privacy-preserving technologies for the processing and sharing of health data.
By registering for or attending a SECURED Webinar, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not participate.
2. Organisers
The Webinars are jointly organised by the SECURED consortium partners, coordinated by the University of Amsterdam (UvA), with support from other consortium members as listed on the official project website: https://secured-project.eu.
3. Purpose of the Webinars
The Webinars are organised for informational, educational, and dissemination purposes. They present project results, tools, and methodologies to stakeholders, researchers, and the general public.
They are not intended as professional, commercial, medical, or legal advice.
4. Registration and Access
Participation may require prior registration. Registrants must provide accurate and complete information.
SECURED and its partners reserve the right to approve or deny registrations at their discretion.
Participants will receive connection details via email. Sharing connection links with third parties without permission is prohibited.
5. Recording and Use of Media
Webinars may be recorded, including audio, video, and chat interactions.
By joining a Webinar, you consent to the recording and the possible use of excerpts, screenshots, or anonymised summaries for dissemination, reporting, or communication purposes related to the SECURED project.
The organisers will comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will not use recordings for unrelated purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in the recording, you may choose to keep your camera and microphone off and avoid posting identifiable information in the chat.
6. Data Protection
Personal data collected during registration and participation (such as name, organisation, and email address) will be processed solely for the purpose of event organisation, communication, and project reporting.
Data processing follows the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, and data minimisation under GDPR.
For more details, please refer to the SECURED Privacy Policy available on the project website.
7. Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to:
Engage respectfully with speakers and other participants.
Avoid offensive, discriminatory, or promotional content in chat or Q&A.
Refrain from sharing confidential or copyrighted materials without permission.
The organisers may remove participants who violate this code of conduct.
8. Intellectual Property
All presentations, slides, recordings, and related materials are protected by copyright.
Unless otherwise stated, these materials remain the property of the presenters or their institutions.
Participants may view and download publicly shared materials only for personal or educational use, with appropriate credit. Any other use requires prior written consent from the rights holders.
9. Disclaimer of Liability
The information presented during SECURED Webinars is provided “as is” for general informational purposes.
The organisers and consortium partners make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the content shared.
The organisers are not liable for any damages arising from participation, use of information, or technical issues.
10. Changes or Cancellation
The organisers reserve the right to modify, postpone, or cancel a Webinar at any time. Registered participants will be informed by email of significant changes.
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, by the national law of the organiser’s country. Any disputes shall be resolved amicably whenever possible.
